INSTRUCTORS/GROUP LEADERS

Do you have a passion for teaching and sharing your expertise? Grace House San Antonio is seeking dedicated men and women with knowledge in various fields to lead and instruct within our curriculum. As an instructor or group leader, you will play a vital role in equipping individuals with the skills they need to build a better future, all while fostering a supportive and empowering environment rooted in the love of Christ. CHURCH LIASON

Be the church liaison at your church and play a vital role in fostering collaboration between Grace House San Antonio and your congregation. It is essential that the church works hand-in-hand to serve its neighbors, and as a liaison, you will help bring awareness of our mission to the people in your church. By sharing opportunities to serve, you can inspire others to get involved and make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need, all while strengthening the bond between the church and the community. FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

Support Grace House in raising funds through special events like banquets, galas, and other creative initiatives. Organize your own fundraising event, online campaign, or community drive. MATERIAL DONATIONS

The women who come to Grace House are starting fresh, and we’re here to help them rebuild. Grace House provides essential items to support their new beginnings. Consider donating gently used clothing, including casual wear, business attire, shoes, and jewelry. We also accept gift cards and healthy snacks. Other small items we welcome include nail polish, Chapstick, lipstick, eyeshadow, face powder, eyeliner, socks, gloves, flip-flops, house shoes, refillable water bottles, combs, brushes, hairbands, ties, or clips. We also appreciate donations of pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, journals, spiral notebooks, file folders, sticky notes, bookmarks, and more (with prior approval). JAIL AND PRISON MINISTRY

The Grace House Jail and Prison Ministry Team is dedicated to offering hope and support to women currently incarcerated. Our mission is to share information about the transformative resources available at Grace House that provides a pathway to recovery.

These trained volunteers and staff visit local jails and state prisons to speak directly with women about the services and support Grace House offers. These visits create an opportunity for incarcerated women to learn about our residential program, which provides a safe environment to overcome addiction, break free from poverty, and rebuild their lives.

Participation in this ministry team requires a thorough screening process by Grace House, ensuring all volunteers demonstrate the compassion, integrity, and dedication necessary for this sensitive work. Once approved, volunteers must also meet the specific requirements and undergo security clearances set by county and state correctional facilities.

During the visits, our team offers not only practical information but also encouragement, emphasizing that healing and renewal are possible.
